Thanksgiving is a day away and today is considered one of the busiest travel days of the year. So, hopefully if you don’t have to travel and have the day off, maybe you can sleep in. Just be sure your hand is actually between two pillows.

Sydney Sweeney Not Playing Into Their Reindeer Games And Good For Her
I’m trying to change up the content on my blog but there are a few things recently that have pissed me off. First off is how people are trying to make Sydney Sweeney out to be a white supremacist just because people think there’s more meaning to an American Eagle advertisement she did earlier this year. It’s a play on how “genes” andContinue reading “Sydney Sweeney Not Playing Into Their Reindeer Games And Good For Her”
‘Frankenstein’ Is One Of The Year’s Best
There have been multiple adaptations of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein: or, The Modern Prometheus. Rarely has a filmmaker ever made an accurate translation from book to screen. Not every written work can have all its material translated into a movie or limited series, which are popular now. Even Thomas Edison produced an adaptation which was just about 13 minutes in duration and originally thought to beContinue reading “‘Frankenstein’ Is One Of The Year’s Best”
Thanksgiving Week Begins
I caught this view from my front lawn as I was leaving to go run some errands earlier.
Autumn In Cherokee County
I’ve been taking these photos over the past few weeks while the leaves are still on the trees. More than likely after Thanksgiving weekend, they’ll be all on the ground or blown away.
‘Return To Oz’ Presented A Wickedly Different View 40 Years Ago
By the mid-1980s, top brass at Disney was faced with a dilemma. Do they continue to make just family movies or do they branch out and do what all the other movie studios have done and embraced the change that has been happening since the late 1960s? It didn’t help matters that many of their top animators left with Don Bluth who went on toContinue reading “‘Return To Oz’ Presented A Wickedly Different View 40 Years Ago”
Peace And Love For Those On Transgender Day Of Remembrance
Today is one of those day we wish we didn’t have, but it’s Transgender Day of Remembrance. Ever since 1999, Nov. 20 has been designated as a day of remembrance for all those transgender people who have been murder. In the 1990s, three women, Rita Hester, Chanelle Pickett and Monique Thomas, all transgendered were murdered.Continue reading “Peace And Love For Those On Transgender Day Of Remembrance”
‘Good Boy’ Is A Good Movie
A movie like Good Boy asks you to put yourself in the mind of a dog. And that might be why so many people haven’t and won’t like the movie. The buzz around the movie is that it’s told from the perspective of Indy, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. When the movie begins, Indy is just resting in an apartment with his humanContinue reading “‘Good Boy’ Is A Good Movie”
‘The Naked Gun’ Hits The Target
Parody movies haven’t been too popular for well over a decade. And you can thank the horrible filmmaking duo of Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer for that. When Scary Movie became a big hit during the summer of 2000, they had the clout as the co-writers of a hit movie. Except there was one problem. They were co-writers in credit only. According to Marlon Wayans, who co-starredContinue reading “‘The Naked Gun’ Hits The Target”
Too Early For Christmas Decorations?
I know some people who eagerly await until Halloween to end so they can put up their Christmas decorations. But with less than six weeks until Christmas, everyone is getting into the spirit. I took these photos around the Wagoner, Okla. community. I haven’t put up my tree yet. But this weekend, my neighbors putContinue reading “Too Early For Christmas Decorations?”
