Six years ago during the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had to put my furbaby, Pookie. Of all the cats I’ve had, he lived the longest by about 15 years.
While I was fortunate enough not to lose any friends or immediate family to Covid, losing a loved one, even a pet, can hurt. At the time, Pookie had been with me more than a third of my life. He was a great cat who would lie next to me when I slept and get up with me when I went to work each morning.
Two years ago, I lost BeeBee (the grey one in the above photo) at this same time so it hits harder when something bad happens on the same date. I only have one inside cat, Skitty, left and she’s 13 and counting.

Hug your furbabies a little closer this evening.
