Sending Thoughts To Those Affected By Tropical Storms

As of this posting, Isaias has been downgraded to a post-tropical cyclone after making landfill as a Category 2 Hurricane.

There are about four people are reported dead and thousands are without power. I know people who live in Navarre, Fla. on the panhandle who say they passed through with not many accidents. The roof of a hotel in the Pensacola area was ripped off. The city is about 25 miles west of them.

At the same time across the country, tropical storm Rachel has hit landfall in the Baja Peninsula and moving up through southern California. Hopefully there aren’t many injuries or damages.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted.
