Health Update – Some Good News, Some Not So Good

I received some good news and bad news in the last week. First the bad. My orthopedic physicians say my X-rays show the arthritis in my lower back is getting worse. But I don’t need surgery.

On the other hand, other parts of my inner body are good. My hemoglobin levels are down which is good because there’s a history of diabetes in my family. I have been on medicine for about half a year. All other lab work is good.

My disability appellate lawyer says the opposing lawyer should submit an argument brief by July 16. But there’s no timeline for the judge to make the decision.

My primary care is going to help me get my medical cannabis card. Some days are good. Some days are rough.

Thanks for reading and subscribing.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
