You know a movie is going to be bad when it doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page. This means that no one bother to write a brief summary of the movie and I’m talking about a brief summary that sounds like a kid trying to bluff a book report when they definitely ddn’t read it. For a cast that includes Dermot Mulrooney and Leslie Bibb, you’d at least expect something more out of The Inhabitant. But something tells me they need to make some quick cash or they owed someone a big favor.
They’re supporting characters in a movie that is a slasher about an axe murderer, I think. There’s something about this family being the descendants of Lizzie Borden or something. Anyway, you can guess who’s doing the killings from the first 15 minutes of this movie. Tara (Odessa A’zion) plays up every teen angst trope in the book in this movie as someone who thinks that her bad nightmares may be more than a dream. A’zion seems to be doing the same role she did in that Hellraiser reboot, which means, she’s in danger of being typecast.
And maybe it’s because A’zion doesn’t bring anything new to the role that she is turning into another Natasha Lyonne or Michelle Rodriguez where she’s going to play the same character in everything she’s in. For this reason, I really couldn’t get into this movie and hearing her bitch and moan for an hour and a half. For that, I’m not going to write anything more about this movie.
