I was never a big fan of the World Cup or soccer in general. But the World Cup fever that has invaded America has brought some light during the darker times.
Watching last night’s match between USA and Bosnia/Herzegovina was made more exciting by the Spanish-speaking commentators. And let’s face that was a bullshit call on the Red Card for Folarin Balogun. I think the officials were pissed Team USA made it this far. It should been 3-0 instead of 2-0.
But you can’t relive yesterday but look for a better tomorrow. On Monday, Team USA will go on to the Knockout round against Belgium. They made it to this round back in 2002. Yet, I feel they can go farther this time.
If you want to see a true representation of America, go to these host cities where people with different backgrounds are living. It’s much better than the Great American State Fair.
