Remember Those That Lost Their Lives This Memorial Day

While it’s been advertised as the start of the summer season, it’s actually a day to remember those who proudly wore the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces but were killed in action.

Sadly some of those returned home with injuries (both physically and mentally) of which they couldn’t heal.

People say “Happy Memorial Day” but there’s nothing to be happy about as leaders who never went one day of boot camp feel they have to continue to send others to die.

It’s a shame some enlisted personnel only get saluted after they pass away. And how many current military continue to salute a President who calls them “losers” says more about respect and honor than he’ll ever know or appreciate.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
