Here in Oklahoma, the current governor who is on his way out is trying to take away medical cannabis which passed in 2018 with 57 percent of the vote. And the current state attorney general (who just so happens to be running for governor) has been going on a hilarious campaign to stop “illegal” cannabis growers.
But he’s getting a lot of backlash as he should.
Needless to say, he’s in his early 60s and trying to appeal to the older still loyal Republicans who believe smoking one joint will lead to people committing the worst criminal acts.
Yet many states have either legalized it or have medical cannabis. We all know it’s because alcohol lobbyists are pushing this especially as younger generations are turning away from the bottle entirely.
There’s nothing glamorous about being drug all the time. And if politicians really did care about the opiate addictions, they would push to legalize cannabis (not marijuana). But they get money from Big Pharma while saying the drugs are bad.
