Punxustawney Phil who resides at Gobbler’s Knob in Punxustawney, Penn. claimed to have seen his shaow which means there are six more weeks of winter. This was concurred by General Bureaugard Lee, who resides at the Yellow River Game Ranch in Gwinnett County outside of Atlanta.
However, up in Ohio, Buckeye Chuck didn’t see his shadow which means there is an early Spring. And most of the past weather patterns have backed up Chuck’s “predictions” even if he predictions anything at all, according to most meteorologists.

Meteorologists also predict another polar vortex could bring some more cold weather to the Midwest and Southern Plains area. But that is still up in the air, so to speak.
By the end of this week, it will feel more like spring in this area as temepratures will have highs in the 60s.
On a side note and I don’t know who has noticed this, but in the 1987 movie The Monster Squad, there was a reference to a fake horror movie called Groundhog Dog in which the villain keeps getting killed and comes back to life.
