I forgot that we’re in the middle of Hispanic Heritage Month. I know a lot of people would wonder why we should care because so many Americans are of Hispanic heritage.
The latest criticism is that Bad Bunny, aka Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio , is performing at the 2026 Super Bowl half-time. He was born 1994, so all he’s ever known is Super Bowl half-times that were mini-concerts. Before that, they were mediocre half-time shows where some marching band or worse Up With People performed. Basically, it was a chance for people to hit the head and refill the concessions.
It’s just that people under this current Presidential Administration think that anything that doesn’t feature a WASP person is un-American, even though Bad Bunny is a native of Puerto Rico, a U.S. territory such as American Samoa, Guam and the Virgin Islands.
Yom Kippur was a few days ago. While anti-Semitism is on the rise as we’re nearing the two year anniversary of the war between Benjamin Netanyahu and Hamas. I’m all for whatever religious or cultural practices people do as long as it doesn’t hurt other people.
We have so much culture and heritage for everyone to be proud of but just because it’s your own personal culture and heritage doesn’t mean it’s for everyone.
And those upset that Bad Bunny can’t speak English should also look at the fact that our own President can’t say acetaminophen.
