The Dust Bowl Revisited

High winds on Friday, March 14 turned turned parts of Oklahoma and Texas into a huge dust storm. Fortunately, I was lucky here where the winds were high but there still was visibility. Other people reported limited visibility and semi trucks were recorded in the Amarillo, Texas flipping over.

Wildfires have been reported in Creek County, Oklahoma, southwest of Tulsa and evacuations were ordered.

There’s also expected to be a huge storm in the southeast in Alabama and Georgia this weekend with tornadic activity and hail stones about an inch in length. Hopefully everyone is safe.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
