Documentaries on Netflix are either very great or very boring. A three-part documentary like The Manhattan Alien Abduction is the latter. It’s dull and unwatchable because it’s really nothing more than watching two Karens gripe about each other.
Or are they Susans? Or Gertrudes? I’m not really sure of the age-range for this type of white woman who has nothing better to do than complain, complain, complain. But this isn’t even about an alien abduction, which will leave some people wondering if what we’re watching is real or not.
Apparently, back in 1989, Linda Napolitano did claim to be abducted. But was it true or not? Who cares? This is about Linda who chain smokes cigarettes and looks like she’s had a rough weekend before she sat down for the interview and Carol Rainey, who looks like the one customer no waiter wants to see in their station. Just like the line the Marietta Mangler said in Con Air, “moments of levity bring her pain.”
So, please avoid this documentary. Don’t consider this a blog post as much as a public service announcement.
