I just wanted to wish all those that have served and still serving in the American military a Happy Veterans Day. I know with the way things look there’s been concern over the creating of the draft again. They said this same thing in the weeks following the Sept. 11 attacks.
If you really want to help veterans, might I suggest we do more for them when they return. I was at the fitness center the other day and I had a little chitchat with an Army vet who has bad knees and legs. He can’t be much older than I and I’m only 45. A lot of veterans have disabilities. Rather than help them out, our motto seems to be “Tough break!”
I don’t mean to get political but for all the Republicans using today as a way to post things to make it look like they care, you might want to research how they voted. A lot of them don’t really care about the military until it comes to elections and campaign donations.
