If you’re a skywatcher, you still have some time to enjoy the last Supermoon of 2025. Since this is December, it’s often called the “Cold Moon.” It’s about 16,800 miles closer to Earth than usual at 221,813 miles according to NASA which is why it will appear 30 percent brighter and 14 percent bigger thanContinue reading ““Cold Moon” In The Sky”

Christmas Lights On At Rhema
With Thanksgiving weekend ending, that means the beginning of the annual Christmas lights display at Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Okla., just outside of Tulsa. The display is open to the public free of charge from 5:30-11:30 p.m. every day from now until Jan. 1. These are just some of the lights I wasContinue reading “Christmas Lights On At Rhema”

I caught this view from my front lawn as I was leaving to go run some errands earlier.
Autumn In Cherokee County
I’ve been taking these photos over the past few weeks while the leaves are still on the trees. More than likely after Thanksgiving weekend, they’ll be all on the ground or blown away.

Cliffs At Fort Gibson Lake
These are the cliffs on the eastern border of Cherokee County near where I live. Fort Gibson Lake separates Cherokee from Wagoner County. At this time of years as the leaves change, it’s a wonderful site to see while on the way home.
Sunset View From Front Porch
Here is the view of tonight’s sunset from my front porch.
Autumn In Wagoner

On piano, Farron Mayfield opened up with performing “The Force Theme” and “The Imperial March” from Star Warsuna was on before performing music by Franz Liszt. Then, there was “Moonlight Village”Continue reading “Halloween Recital At NSU”
Halloween At Dewains
I decided to go out to a Halloween party at Dewains Place in Tahlequah. And I was a little disappointed because there was supposed to be a costume contest but they weren’t going to do that until midnight. I’ve also learned that bars and nightclubs in less metropolitan areas are kind of boring. It’s mostlyContinue reading “Halloween At Dewains”
