Christmastime Is Here At Woodland Hills Mall In Tulsa

While some malls are closing down all over the world, Tulsa’s Woodland Hills Malls remains over and lively especially at Christmastime. These pictures were taken on Dec. 23. You might remember Woodland Hills as it was briefly featured in the first season of Tulsa King.

If you’re a fan of true-crime, the Snapped episode focusing on Patricia Burney as well as the Murder Calls episode about the murder of Arthur Lee Burney mention the mall briefly as Burney and his daughter and hitman for hire went to the mall to try to establish an alibi.

With the official closing of Tulsa Promenade in 2023, this is the only indoor mall in the metropolitan areas while there are many shopping centers and department stores all around the area.

Santa Claus was there meeting with area children before he begins his Christmas Eve journey. With the mall closing at 9 p.m., we all hope Santa will have enough rest for this upcoming night.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
