With all the bad things going on in the world, you wonder how much more awful news can we hear. Like most people I was horrified to see the UPS Freight MD-11 crash in the Louisville area. So far as of this posting, there are 14 people reported to have been killed in the crash with nine people still reported missing. Officials report it’s unlikely at this time for there to be any more survivors.
UPS identified the three crew members on the plane as Capt. Richard Wartenberg, First Officer Lee Truitt and International Relief Officer Capt. Dana Diamond. It’s reported the plane was about 34 years old, which isn’t unusual. But the crash is still under investigation by the NTSB.
