Happy Native American Heritage Month

I want to wish everyone a Happy Native American Heritage Month. I grew up near New Echota in northwest Georgia which used to be where the Cherokee Nation was before the Trail of Tears.

Now, by chance, I live in northeast Oklahoma which is where the Cherokee Nation is located now. Later this, SkasdiCon will be held 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the Cherokee Casino conference room in Tahlequah. The event recognize entertainment artists and pop culture that focuses on Native Americans.
