Hands down, Mellow Mushroom makes the best calzones I’ve ever had. Of course, I’ve never visited a pizzeria in Chicago or New York City. But I’d like to take that challenge some day.
Mellow Mushroom has locations mostly in the South and eastern Midwest.
If you’ve ever seen Trouble with the Curve, Clint Eastwood’s character is seen holding a pizza box from Mellow Mushroom. They make good pizzas too.
