There’s nothing I can say about the devastation of the communities in Kentucky and Missouri after many tornadoes hit the region that will make it all better.
I will say that in times like these, we look to our leaders, but he’s too busy playing golf and claiming that no one thinks Taylor Swift is attractive anymore.
It shouldn’t have to take these disasters with people dying, homes decimated and people in shock for us to come together to lend a helping hand to each other.
Even worse, it looks like we’re not going to get any relief just yet. While things have been ok in this part of the state of Oklahoma, there were tornadoes reported in the central and western part. And the forecast calls for more activity over the next 24-36 hours in several states in the Plains, Midwest and South.
As of this posting, I’ve heard that 27 people have been killed with the Office of Kentucky Governor Andy Brashear reporting 18 people have been killed in that state alone. The Weather Channel has reported an EF3 tornado struck the St. Louis area.
While I do have issues with The American Red Cross, there are usually the first the respond with natural disasters strike. If you feel like helping, you can make a donation. Please call 1-800 RED CROSS if you need assistance or to make a donation.
