Please Help Out If You Can For Recent Oklahoma Wildfires

This past weekend, there were over 130 wildfires in Oklahoma caused by the high winds and isolated thunderstorms. Four people reportedly died and 142 people were injured.

A state of emergency was declared for 12 of the 77 counties: Cleveland, Creek, Dewey, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma, Pawnee, Payne, Pottawatomie, Roger Mills and Stephens.

The towns of Mannford and Stillwater were very affected with homes destroyed and families displaced. The American Red Cross of Oklahoma is asking for monetary donations. Donations can be made at https://www.redcross.org/donate/to/donation-to3.html/?alloy_redirect=eyJ2IjoxLCJhZCI6IjYwMDI4NDowOjB8MiJ9

As always, the Salvation Army and the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief are offering assistance. If you can, you can donate to https://www.okdisasterhelp.org/donate/ or https://give.salvationarmyusa.org/give/164006/?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwkN–BhDkARIsAD_mnIoKUjG7peU_p7kAAftVFswojauUZKMaz2fYjtY2_T59OkYY6_8pvbEaAjThEALw_wcB#!/donation/checkout?utm_source=google_lerma&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=general_brand&utm_content=text&utm_campaign=edonation_national_brand&pid=cpc:edonation_southern_brand::google_lerma:::::southern_southern:general_brand:evergreen

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
