Antiquarian Book Fair Draws Many To St. Petersburg, Continues Today

Over 80 book sellers and literacy groups are currently selling probably just anything a book lover is looking for at the Florida Antiquarian Book Fair this weekend.

The event began on Saturday, March 1 and continues today. However, Saturday’s hours were 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. while today’s is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also, if you’re attending, you will need to have cash on hand to purchase tickets at the box office.

The fair is held at The Coliseum located at 535 4th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Parking is free.

I must tell people that they are having plumbing issues with the public restrooms and the only one open is behind the stage at the Coliseum. There is only one toilet and sink so they’ll be a line.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
