Christmas Stroll At Norris Park In Tahlequah

For the initial year, Tahlequah community/civic leaders put on a Christmas party at Loeser Pavilion where about two dozen Christmas trees had been set up from various businesses/organizations around the Tahlequah community.

A Christmas pageant was held on the afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 14. Afterwards, the winners were announced. Students of the Rhythm Innovation Dancy Company performed for those in attendance.

Young kids had access to arts and crafts to make ornaments or they could play in a snow globe. Of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus showed up around 5:30 p.m. so kids of all ages could get their picture taken with them as well as telling what they wanted for Christmas.

People also could take a stroll through the Norris Park which is across the street from the Pavilion.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
