Please Help A Good Charity

Before my girlfriend died in the winter of 2022, she was on the Board of Directors of Wheels of Happiness, a non-profit charity organization that helps others with mobility assistance all over the world. She was serving as Board Secretary at the time of her death.

The organization was co-founded by a former colleague and friend who became paralyzed himself from an accident. Every year since their inception, they’ve hosted a gala in the Fall to raise funds, even during the Covid-19 pandemic when they did a virtual one. This year, they’re doing it a little earlier on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, located at 1 Galambos Wy in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta. The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Formal attire is required of all attendants.

I understand that many of you can’t make it to Atlanta and I apologize for not getting this information out sooner. But if you could please make a donation, I would greatly appreciate it. Every little bit helps. Go to wheelsofhappiness.org. And please share with everyone you can.

Thanks again for reading and subscribing.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
