I’ve been dealing with a bad summer cold the last week or so. Today has been a little rough as I really didn’t have much energy along with this stupid summer heatwave with a heat index over 100.
But I’d like to ask you all a question – What do you think about special counsel Jack Smith getting new indictments against Donald Trump? The indictments still charge him with using to Justice Department to promote his claims of election frauds. However, it carefully removes language that the majority of the U.S. Supreme Court, which is mostly conservative, decided that he has the authority to do as President.
I, for one, think the Court’s ruling earlier this year was just a tactic to delay it. And with the new indictments, it’s pushing the case farther out. Presiding Judge Tanya Chutkan must still decide how to interpret evidence and how it’s necessary with the language of the Supreme Court.
Trump still faces sentencing set for Sept. 18 in the New York case where he was convicted of 34 felonies.
