Take Some Time To Smell The Roses

I had intended to write up a post of Cobra Kai‘s first half of their sixth and final season today. But I overestimated the amount of work I can do on my body even with the nice 80-something degree temperatures.

I ran some errands earlier today and went swimming doing some exercises but after showering and coming home, I was pooped. I was gone for about four-and-a-half hours which is a lot longer than I had intended. I did get a good BOGO treat on muffins at the coffee bar I frequent. But it came a huge rain storm while I was enjoying one with my latte and I should’ve taken it as a sign.

Regardless, I went swimming anyway. It was indoors but they usually close it down if there’s lightning. And I guess the barometric pressure made me very tired and weak. I didn’t get much sleep last night either. So, when I was home and put up all I could. I took a nap for a couple of hours. I’m thinking I’m going to wait until I come home to shower.

I want to say thanks again for reading and subscribing. In the past 30 days, I’ve had two posts get about 50 views or higher. While that might not seem like much, it means a lot to me. I mainly do this blog as a way to cope after losing my girlfriend who died of an illness two-and-a-half years ago.

I could just throw together something and put it on line. But as a journalist, I’m always want to be invested into each and every posts because I know you as the reader wouldn’t care if I didn’t care.

The picture above is near the dog park Tahlequah Trails in Tahlequah. I sometimes go here when the weather is nice to sit and look around. I don’t have a dog right now, even though I have in the past. A lot of times when I’m there, there’s hardly anyone there or it’s vacant. But I’m glad the Tahlequah community has this and other nature amenities for the people.

Thanks again for reading, but today, I needed to have a day for myself.

I'm an award winning journalist and photographer who covered dozens of homicides and even interviewed President Jimmy Carter on multiple occasions. A back injury in 2011 and other family medical emergencies sidelined my journalism career. But now, I'm doing my own thing, focusing on movies (one of my favorite topics), current events and politics (another favorite topic) and just anything I feel needs to be posted. Thank you for reading.
