Today is my birthday. The month of September is also the birthday month of my mother and my late girlfriend. Before she passed away, my girlfriend was on the Board of Directors of Wheels of Happiness, a non-profit charity that helps people with physical disabilities and helps with mobile equipment such as wheelchairs and motorized carts.
WOH is having their annual fund-raising gala on Sept. 30 in Atlanta this year. Since most of you are probably spread out all over the country if not the world, I know you can’t make it. But if you could make a donation I would greatly appreciate it. WOH is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by one of my girlfriend’s friends and former colleagues. He, himself, is disabled and has to use a wheelchair.
